About Me:
First of all, Welcome to the Pava Pages! I’m glad you’re here.
Hi, my name is Pava. Yes, that’s my real name. I get jazzed about tarot and I’m a strong advocate of personal development, including certain forms of self-help. What’s really exciting to me is that tarot can assist with personal development. Before I get going on that, here are some bullets about me, just so you know.
- I’ve spent over 25 years helping people develop themselves professionally and personally. I’ve trained thousands of people from many parts of the word in self-development techniques and programs. Yes, thousands – some in very small groups, too, so it seems like even more. Some were in large groups. Most were in person; many were in webinars.
- Along the way I’ve become certified/qualified in some respectable behavioral assessments and tools. My current favorites are the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and FIRO-B.
- I love the work of Carl Jung, who, along with breaking off from his mentor, Sigmund Freud, examined the spiritual, mystical aspects of the psyche. The MBTI is based upon Jung’s work. Jung consulted tarot and astrology on a regular basis. What a guy! His work in archetypes almost screams tarot.
- I’m proud to say that I’m certified in Mindex, a thinking style assessment created by Karl Albrecht.
- I’m also a practitioner/facilitator of DiSC. DiSC, if you’re familiar with it, has several versions, depending on the owner of the instrument.
- I’m a big fan of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, by Stephen R. Covey, and have been delivering the Franklin-Covey course of the same name to groups for almost 20 years.
- Along with my learning and development career I’ve spent a good amount of time volunteering and helping groups and individuals go beyond where they were.
- I hold a Master of Science (M.S.) in Psychology, although I am not a psychologist or a mental health practitioner. I’m not a fortune-teller or a psychic either. What I am is a learning and development professional. I also consider myself a personal advisor or coach. It’s all about getting better at being ourselves.
